I finished cooking one of our chickens this afternoon, too, so I decided to head out to the freezer and get some more chicken bones and chicken feet to add to the pot after I removed the meat for dinner. I read a recipe on a Paleo website that is for an energy drink using bone broth. I haven't tried it yet, but it sure sounds good! Try it out and let me know what you think! I'm going to give it a try!
Here it is:
3/4 cup unseasoned bone stock base
1 cup raw greens (kale, arugula, Swiss chard, watercress, collards, spinach)
1 raw carrot, broken into pieces
1 sweet fruit (about 1/2 cup) pineapple, strawberries, or oranges broken into pieces
Push all ingredients down into a blender cup and pour stock over them. Blend until plants are liquefied. Can serve hot or cold.
