Meanwhile, we also received three new kittens from our "supplier" of cats. We really didn't want anymore cats. The darned coyotes that our neighbors keep feeding have been plentiful in our neighborhood. Every cat that we have had, with the exception of one that was hit by a car, have all been carried off by coyotes. However, we relented and figured we would give them another try. We love the cats so much. It becomes really difficult when they "disappear". We keep hoping this time they will stick close to the property so they will be protected by our Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD). She is wonderful about protecting the alpacas, chickens, rabbits, and whatever else we introduce her to! Not bad for an ex-apartment dog!
So, last night, my youngest said, "Hey, mom! I noticed one of the rabbits has been putting her fur in the nesting box. Do you think she's about ready to have her babies?" And guess what? The very next morning, we found EIGHT little rabbits in the nesting box! They are UGLY as all get out! They look like little, black mice! I know they will be much cuter when they get bigger, but for now.... YUK!
As you can see, there is never a dull moment around here! What's been going on in your neck of the woods? I'd love to hear from some of you! I pray each of you are blessed by the love of Christ!
