Some friends of ours decided not to take their lamb to the major shows this year. The daughter is a senior and was "done". The cost of going to a show out of town can get pretty expensive, so they just opted to finish early. So, we headed up to the Ag Barn in Plano, loaded up "PJ" (his name) and headed back to our ranch.
PJ is quite the little ham (okay, that would be a pig, right?) and LOVES to get attention! Since he has been a show lamb, he is quite used to human contact. Every morning, he would run in circles around us while we got his feed. Sometimes, if he got by us, he would head into the feed room and bury his head in the food bin trying to get as much feed as possible. You would have thought he was starving to death! Well, we did have to cut him back significantly from what he was being fed while showing. He was a fatty!! Anyway, he only came to live with us for 30 days. But, it was a fun experience!
I'm Cyndi and I LOVE the farm life! I went from being a systems programmer to a stay at home mom taking care of the kids and animals. I couldn't think of a better life!
